About the BHDA

(Registered charity No. 1005078)

The British Homeopathic Dental Association was founded in 1991 by a group of dentists who were (and still are) enthusiastic about using homeopathy alongside their dentistry. The objectives of the BHDA are to promote the use of homeopathy within the dental profession and to advance the professional understanding of the subject. We also provide information to the public about the use of homeopathy within dentistry via this website and a directory of dentists who have an interest in this subject. Every 2 years we hold a symposium to allow members and non-members to refresh and gain new knowledge about homeopathy and other complementary therapies in dentistry.

All of our members have an interest in and practice homeopathy in dentistry. Some of our members have taken their knowledge further and have achieved LFHom(Dent) (Licenciate of the Faculty of Homeopathy). This is a year of study with an exam at the end and gives as good foundation for using homeopathy alongside dentistry. Some of our members have undergone at least 5 years of study and taken the exam for MFHom(Dent) (Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy). This gives the dentist a more in depth knowledge of the theory and practice of homeopathy and experience in managing more complex cases. Other qualifications are held by our members including the BSc in Homeopathy and FFHom. If you want to find out more about each dentist's experience we recommend that you contact them directly.

The Faculty of Homeopathy oversee the education of homeopathy to healthcare professionals and ensure it's quality. It also has a disciplinary procedure for its members. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of homeopathic treatment that you receive from a Faculty member, please put your complaint in writing, and send it to:
